Why Use Your Own Keys?

Octofy's subscription gives you access to 60+ models out of the box. But some users and organizations have specific requirements:

• Data control: Route requests through your own provider accounts with your own data agreements
• Cost management: Use your existing API credits and track costs through your provider dashboard
• Compliance: Meet organizational requirements about which accounts process your data
• Custom limits: Use your own rate limits and quotas

Bring Your Own API Key (BYOAK) addresses all of these.

How It Works

1. Go to Settings and find the API Keys section
2. Add your API key for any supported provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and more)
3. When you use a model from that provider, your requests go through your API key instead of Octofy's

Everything else stays the same. The interface, the features, the automatic model selection. Only the API routing changes.

Security

Your API keys are encrypted using RSA encryption before storage. They're never visible in plaintext after you enter them. You can revoke a key at any time, and it's immediately removed from the system.

Per-Provider Control

You don't have to bring keys for every provider. Add a key for OpenAI but use Octofy's access for Claude and Gemini. Mix and match based on your needs. Models without a custom key continue working through Octofy's standard access.
